3. Automatic Synchronization & Parallel Operation

Automatic Synchronization: Automatically adjusts the voltage and frequency of an incoming generator to match the busbar or another running generator, closing the circuit breaker at the precise moment of zero phase angle difference.

Load Sharing: When multiple generators operate in parallel, it ensures proportional sharing of active power (kW) and reactive power (kvar) between them via CAN bus or pulse signals, preventing one set from being overloaded while another is lightly loaded.

Frequency Control: Acts as the frequency reference for the entire power plant.

Breaker Control: Controls the opening and closing of the generator circuit breaker.
4. Automatic Power Management System
In systems with multiple power sources (e.g., main generator, standby generator, shore power), the IPM-1 can automatically control power transfer based on preset priorities and logic.

Main Failure Logic: Automatically starts and connects a standby generator set if the main power source fails.

High Power Demand Logic: Automatically starts and connects a second generator when the load increases beyond a set level.
