It is a panel-mounted high-precision flow computer launched by Emerson, designed specifically for flow measurement and data management in industrial processes such as oil and gas, chemical, and energy.

• High‑precision calculation – Uses 64‑bit double‑precision floating‑point arithmetic to deliver the highest measurement accuracy and complies with the latest API standards.
• Supported standards – Built‑in calculation libraries for AGA, ISO, GPA, GERG, GOST (gases) and API, ASTM, NORSOK (liquids) and many other international metrology standards.
• Modular I/O – Standard configuration includes the P144 I/O module and the P148 pulse‑relay module; optional P154 Prover (calibration) module, P188 HART module and P190 second‑Ethernet module are available, providing flexible analog/digital, pulse and density‑compensation signal handling.
• Robust communications – Dual Ethernet ports, RS‑232/RS‑422/RS‑485, USB and HART interfaces enable seamless integration with SCADA, DCS, PLC and other supervisory systems.
• Power & reliability – Operates from 20‑32 V DC (nominal 30 V) with a maximum consumption of 48 W and includes a 2.5 A surge‑protected slow‑blow fuse, making it suitable for harsh industrial environments.
• Processor & OS – Powered by a ColdFire MPC8313 333 MHz processor with an integrated floating‑point unit, running a Linux operating system.
