Data Communication Hub: The 3500/91 module acts as a bridge between the 3500 rack and external control systems (such as a DCS (Distributed Control System), SCADA system, or condition monitoring software). It transmits all monitoring data collected within the 3500 system, including vibration, displacement, speed, and other monitoring data, as well as system status and alarm information, to the host system in real time.
Protocol Support: This module typically supports the EGD (Ethernet Global Data) protocol (for example, EGD V2.01), an efficient data exchange protocol based on Ethernet UDP/IP, making it particularly suitable for integration with control systems from brands such as GE (Mark VIe). Standard Ethernet connections (10BASE-T/100BASE-TX) are also supported.
System Integration: The 3500/91 module allows plant operators to monitor the health of critical rotating equipment (such as turbines, compressors, and pumps) directly on the DCS or SCADA screen in the central control room, eliminating the need to access the 3500 system separately, thus achieving centralized monitoring and management. Data Exchange: Supports “producer/consumer” data exchange. The 3500 system acts as a “producer,” sending data, and the external system acts as a “consumer,” receiving data. In addition, reverse control is also possible, such as sending alarm reset and alarm suppression commands from the external system.
