Functional Description
This valve has one water input and two separate outputs. It uses two electrically operated solenoids:
- When the ice maker signals it needs to fill, it sends 120V AC to the first solenoid. This opens the valve, allowing water to flow to the ice maker.
- When you press the water dispenser lever on the door, it sends 120V AC to the second solenoid. This opens the valve, allowing water to flow to the dispenser.
The two solenoids work independently, allowing the refrigerator to make ice and dispense water at the same time if commanded.
